'Locals Only' - Weeknights at 11:30 - Providing You with the Best of the Local Scene
I'm 24. A Scorpio..yes, we are the greatest. I was born in New Orleans... I guess, that's why I'm dark and twisty. I've been in radio for 6 years. I absolutely love to entertain! I wear costumes for fun.
Music is like chocolatte milk... except, I don't feel like throwing up, if I have too much of it. I like road trips, but hate the road during traffic. Coffee... Black... Irish... Dunkin'... with Skim... Either Way... Gotta Have My Coffee. Paintings. Photographs. Spurs... I'd Like to Own Myself a Pair, One Day. Thinking... I Do That Too Much, Sometimes. It Gets Me Into Trouble, Among Other Things. Indians. Vintage Belongings of Mine. I Take Things From People..Mainly, the Ones I Like. I'm a Collector. I Like Making People Mix Compilations. It Doesn't Mean I Like You, in That Way. However, If I Make You a Mix CD... It's On. Coffee Shops... It's Great For Depicting the Varieties of People/Freaks... Makes Me Feel Normal. Jazz Music Excites Me... Not the Elevator Kind. The Sun... It's an Odd... but Not So Odd Obsession of Mine. Bread. Hott Sauce. Hott Sauce On Bread. I'm Indecisive and Picky... About Everything, Especially, Food... But If I Can Put Hott Sauce On It... It's a Done Deal.
I Have Many Goals in Life, and I WILL Accomplish Them All... Including, Appearing On Cops. Hopefully, Arrested By My Father... but Not For Anything Like Murder, DUI... Something Fun... like hopping a train.
Reading Outside. Playing the G. I Want a Banjo, Please. Rivers. I Write Letters..From the Civil War. Cemeteries Have A Lot of Life to Them. I want to learn how to swing dance. That's on my bucket list. I didn't like that movie, though.
My favorite thing to do, is to go to shows! However, I hate when people talk or sing louder than the artist. That's one reason I carry a holster with me.
My favorite places in Atlanta... Star Bar, Johnny's Hideaway, Highland Ballroom, Park Tavern For Unplugged In the Park, Variety Playhouse, Fernbank Museum, Java Monkey, Li-ul 5 Points, Rag-O-Rama, La Fonda, Freedom Park, Five Spot, The Liquor Store, Psycho Sisters, Midtown Art Cinema, Plaza Theatre, Eastside Lounge, Front Page News (Li-ul Five's Location,) Sevananda, Criminal Records, Clermont Lounge, MJQ, Old Mills Antique Village, Inman Park Neighborhood (I Want to Secretly Live In a Stranger's Attic, in One of Those Gargeous Homes!,) Kudzu, Wax N Facts, Yoforia, Boomerang, Oakland Cemetery, Southern Comfort, and your bedroom window.

I'm sttttoked about this! I had always wanted to go to Lilith Fair, but was too young. I didn't think Sarah would ever bring it back, but there are obviously many talented female artists out there, that need to be exposed!

About two weeks ago, I went out west. Of course..I had to put together the best compilation of desert music. This song fit best. It's called "Home," by Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros.

Kinard Showed This to Me..I Have A.D.D. and I Watched the Whole 5min. It's Captivating and Inspiring. Can't Wait to See This. If You're a Music Lover..You WILL Love This Concept. Plus, the fact that it takes you back to the basics..and brings you in the room with other music lovers..without people being obnoxious, talking over the artists, or just not paying attention at all..it's a different kind of connection that you can't get in most settings. Check out the trailer below.

..to celebrate the day Shawn was birthed. I love to film just random videos of me ramblin' on. So, I was thinking of what my next one could be. I thought about combining the video with a celebration of my 21st birthday. Then, I remembered that I was ordained online. So..I decided to celebrate my 21st by marrying myself marrying myself. Now, I have to top my previous birthdays every year. You can check out the ceremony below.

Beck has started this music club where he works with different artists including Wilco, MGMT, Wolfmother, Devendra Bernhart, and many others. They collaborate together to cover other artists' songs, and record it all in one day. Their current project is 'Songs of Leonard Cohen.' Each song is very eclectic. They all have a different take on his songs, but still have that eerie deep Leonard feeling to them, ranging from acoustic, rock, psychedellic, and beyond. Click here for the project, and watch one of the videos below.

The band Mayday Parade stopped by the station, before their show at The Masquerade, to take over 'Xposure!' They were a blast to hang out with! Crazy, entertaining, and quite a delight to look at. They performed two tracks acoustically..their harmonies blended smoothly!
