Fans can stream 'Hurley' on Myspace ahead of its release next week
Weezer fans have been given the chance to can hear the new album ahead of its release next week.
'Hurley' is the band's 8th album and their first since leaving Geffen Records and signing with Epitaph last year.
Officially out September 14 its front covers features the character Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes from the TV show 'Lost'. You can also pre-order your copy of 'Hurley' right now from their MySpace.

Switchfoot will embark on a southeast tour this fall with special guests The Almost, kicking off October 1st in Lynchburg, VA. The band also announced a digital only release of a brand iTunes live EP, featuring 8 live tracks.
Switchfoot is also touring in support of their most recent release, Hello Hurricane, which was released in 2008. The band's latest single, "The Sound" has gone on to become the band's first Top 10 Modern Rock hit since "Dare You to Move," broke the band into the spotlight in 2004. The song was inspired by civil rights activist John M. Perkins, who appears in the video for the song.

Mumford and Sons believe they have no chance of winning the 2010 Barclaycard Mercury Prize, which is announced tonight (September 7).
Speaking to NME in a video interview you can watch on the right, the band said they do not expect to be celebrating after the ceremony in London.
"How do I rate our chances? Nil or slim," declared frontman Marcus Mumford. "We're just going to have a nice time."

You would probably think — based on, well, practically everything — that Jared Leto is not the kind of guy who likes to play things close to the vest (or studded leather jacket, or whatever). And in most instances, you'd be right. But not when it comes to 30 Seconds to Mars' arrival at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Jimmy Eat World release their highly anticipated new album 'Invented' on September 27th.
'Invented', recorded in Tempe, Arizona, reunites Jimmy Eat World with Mark Trombino, the producer on the band's breakthrough album, 'Bleed American' and their seminal earlier albums, 'Static Prevails' and 'Clarity'.
"We're very excited about 'Invented,'' said lead singer and guitarist Jim Adkins, "it was great reconnecting and creating an album with Mark Trombino, we can't wait for our fans to hear it."

It's somewhat fitting that Weezer recruited the "Jackass" guys to guest-star in their upcoming "Memories" video. After all, it's very much a song about looking back on the good ol' days — back when Audioslave was still Rage and, strangely enough, Johnny Knoxville and company used to run almost exclusively with Rivers Cuomo's crew.

The Sex Pistols have launched their own perfume.
The unisex scent sees the band collaborating with Paris perfume company Etat Libre d'Orange, who have licensed the group's name via their promoter Live Nation Merchandise, reports Billboard.com.
The Sex Pistols scent, which comes in packaging based on their 'God Save The Queen' single artwork, is currently available in France, and launches in selected shops in the US on September 10. It is not clear yet when it will reach the UK.
