Cumulus Atlanta is looking for an experienced sales leader to be General Sales Manager of Rock 100.5 (WNNX-FM) and 99X (WWWQ-HD2) This individual must be a strategic thinker who welcomes accountability with a “lead by example” work ethic. Documented success in local sales management and non-spot revenue generation is required. This person must be able to demonstrate exemplary recruitment/training skills and have a track record in achieving sales budgets. |

| JOB SUMMARY: |
|
The successful candidate will be required to recruit, hire and develop closers. In field coaching, training and individual focus meetings are fundamental. The person hired will cultivate long-standing client relationships, penetrating businesses directly at the highest level as well as through their agencies, achieving budgets by selling integrated solutions that utilize our multiple marketing assets. Superior inventory management proficiency and a track record of driving AUR are key. |

We target thousands of local companies with a highly tuned business-category focus and we introduce these companies to the power of radio.
Responsibilities include: prospecting/cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, creative client presentations, and achieving a sales quota. Because Cumulus has a systems approach to sales, you must have a deep appreciation for process, performance measurement, employee development, and a results-oriented sales approach. |

• New business to business experience preferred with recognition as top-performer
• Minimum of 1 year outside sales experience required; 2 or more years preferred with ability to penetrate new business categories
• Strong understanding of lead generation, CRM/SFA and account management
• Cultivation of long standing client relationships
• Media sales background preferred, not required
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet/Intranet)
• Bachelors degree preferred |

The 99X Internship Program allows college students to gain valuable work experience while they explore future career opportunities and gain work experience and thorough knowledge of all of the stations' departments, including Programming / Production, Promotions, Business Office, Engineering, Web Development and Sales. This internship exposes interns to the entire radio station and provides a general introduction to the industry.
NOTE: We have filled ALL internship positions for the Spring'11 semester, but will start considering candidates in late March for the Summer '11 semester. You currently must be getting some sort of college credit or experience to be considered for an internship with Cumulus Radio Atlanta.
